Overview
The Pharmacy Operations Manager will oversee clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems operations for a 250-bed hospital in Northern California. They will ensure compliant pharmaceutical care delivery and step in as Director of Pharmacy when needed. This contract role focuses on leadership, staff development, and cross-functional collaboration with physicians and hospital teams. What You'll Do6
- 1Lead and coordinate clinical, financial, and administrative pharmacy operations to ensure efficient pharmaceutical care.
- 2Serve as acting Director of Pharmacy in their absence with autonomous department leadership.
- 3Hire train and develop staff, optimize workflow, and ensure effective team performance.
- 4Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- 5Collaborate with physicians hospital personnel and external resources to meet operational demand.
- 6Plan organize and control workflow and information systems to support pharmacy services.
Requirements8
- 1PharmD degree
- 2Active Pharmacist license
- 3Minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience
- 4Ability to lead autonomously in absence of the Director of Pharmacy
- 5Experience in hospital or large healthcare systems preferred
- 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills with healthcare teams
- 7Proven leadership in pharmacy management and regulatory compliance
- 8Experience managing clinical financial and administrative pharmacy operations
