Pharmacy Manager, Hospital Operations & Regulatory Compliance
Overview
Own the delivery of pharmaceutical services in a 250-bed hospital with a focus on clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems operations. Lead pharmacy teams and act as Director of Pharmacy delegate when needed, within a Northern California hospital setting. This contract role requires an immediate start and offers a 3 to 6 month assignment with potential for ongoing impact. You will collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy and cross-functional teams to maintain compliance and optimize operational efficiency.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build pharmacy workflow plans and control operations to ensure seamless service delivery
- 2Hire, train, and develop qualified staff to meet clinical and operational goals
- 3Facilitate communication between Pharmacy Management, physicians, and hospital staff to optimize patient care
- 4Ensure strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards
- 5Leverage hospital resources to improve efficiency and financial performance
- 6Serve as acting Director of Pharmacy in the Director's absence and represent pharmacy leadership
- 7Lead regulatory compliance initiatives and oversee information systems within Pharmacy
- 8Coordinate with clinicians to optimize therapeutic outcomes and formulary utilization
- 9Monitor key performance indicators and drive improvements in safety, quality, and service
- 10Drive collaboration across departments to support hospital-wide goals
Requirements10
- 1Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and active Pharmacist license
- 2Minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- 3Ability to start immediately for a 3 to 6 month assignment in Northern California
- 4Demonstrated leadership in pharmacy management and operational oversight
- 5Strong knowledge of clinical, financial, and regulatory aspects of pharmacy operations
- 6Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across departments
- 7Familiarity with hospital pharmacy practices and compliance standards
- 8Experience coordinating with physicians and hospital staff to improve patient care
- 9Proven ability to direct teams and manage complex workflows
- 10Willingness to commit to the duration of the contract and support patient care goals
