What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and optimize workflow to improve service delivery and efficiency within the pharmacy
  • 2Design and implement staff training programs to develop a high-performing team
  • 3Lead as liaison between pharmacy leadership, physicians, and hospital personnel to align clinical and operational goals
  • 4Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations across all operations
  • 5Drive optimization of clinical and information systems to support safe and efficient medication use
  • 6Oversee hiring, mentorship, and performance management to maintain staffing readiness
  • 7Manage financial, administrative, and operational aspects of the department to sustain quality care
  • 8Coordinate with hospital resources to address operational needs and improve patient outcomes
  • 9Provide coverage for the Director of Pharmacy during absences when required
  • 10Collaborate with cross functional teams to support clinical and administrative pharmacy functions

Requirements10

  • 1PharmD degree and active Pharmacist license
  • 2Minimum 1+ years of Director of Pharmacy experience
  • 3Experience leading clinical and administrative pharmacy functions preferred
  • 4Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements
  • 5Proven ability to hire, train, and mentor staff
  • 6Ability to collaborate with cross functional hospital teams
  • 7Experience managing operational workflows and information systems in a hospital setting
  • 8Availability for a 3 to 6 month contract in the Santa Cruz area
  • 9Willingness to start immediately in a fast paced hospital environment
  • 10Contract role with compensation between $72.00 and $87.00 per hour
