What You'll Do9
- 1Build rapport with patients and greet them with a smile to ensure a smooth visit
- 2Prepare patients for examinations by performing initial testing and documenting results in the EMR
- 3Assist physicians by anticipating needs to maintain clinic flow and reduce wait times
- 4Perform diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, autorefraction and topography with accuracy
- 5Open and close exam rooms, maintain clean stocked treatment spaces, and manage supplies
- 6Document medical histories and medications accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- 7Support billing and coding processes by recording data in EMR and ensuring data integrity
- 8Collaborate with team to improve patient flow and service quality
- 9Provide exceptional patient service across in person and phone encounters
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Minimum one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent
- 3Current COA or COT certification preferred but not required
- 4Basic computer skills and experience with EMR systems
- 5Strong customer service skills and a desire to learn and grow
- 6Ability to work full time, including potential weekends
- 7Reliable transportation to travel between Wayne, Brownstown, Dearborn and Wyandotte locations
- 8HIPAA compliance and professional communication
- 9Energetic, empathetic, and team oriented mindset
- 10Willingness to work full time in a on site role with schedule flexibility
