What You'll Do11
- 1Facilitate patient flow
- 2Assist the doctor in preliminary testing
- 3Verify medical and vision insurances
- 4Effectively communicate with patients doctors and managers
- 5Answer inquiries through phone email and in-person requests
- 6Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter
- 7Display a professional attitude and greet patients promptly
- 8Record medical history and confirm purpose of visit
- 9Check condition of patient's eyes by observing pupils muscles visual acuity and extraocular movements
- 10Perform diagnostic tests including visual fields OCT GDX IOL master auto refractor and topography
- 11Demonstrate knowledge of eye anatomy diseases and ocular medications
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2One year of related experience or training
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook
- 4Physical stamina for frequent walking sitting and standing
- 5Ability to lift carry push and pull items up to 25 lbs
- 6Strong fine motor skills and visual auditory acuity
- 7Reliable transportation for travel between locations
