What You'll Do11
- 1Facilitate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- 2Assist the doctor during preliminary testing and examinations
- 3Verify medical and vision insurance coverage for patients
- 4Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and management
- 5Answer inquiries via phone email and in-person channels
- 6Operate manual lensometers and diagnostic equipment
- 7Maintain cleanliness of examination tools including tonometer tips
- 8Collaborate with staff to create a positive workplace environment
- 9Adhere to HIPAA regulations and prioritize patient and provider schedules
- 10Perform routine office duties and cleaning tasks
- 11Contribute to a positive work atmosphere through teamwork and professionalism
Requirements8
- 1Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or medical settings
- 2High school diploma or GED required
- 3Valid license and credentials for optometric assisting
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 6Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- 7Excellent visual and auditory acuity
- 8Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
