What You'll Do9
- 1Perform visual preliminary testing including auto refraction and intra ocular pressure measurement
- 2Document preliminary testing entries and patient chief complaints in the electronic medical record
- 3Escort patients throughout the exam process and transfer authority to appropriate departments
- 4Educate patients on contact lens handling and proper eyewear care
- 5Interpret doctor prescriptions and suggest product enhancements
- 6Complete department training programs and maintain required certifications
- 7Answer customer concerns and direct them to appropriate sources
- 8Handle multiple customers effectively with tact and urgency
- 9Maintain ability to walk bend and stand for extended periods
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2Previous customer service or optometric tech experience preferred
- 3Computer and electronic medical record knowledge preferred
- 4Retail or hospitality experience preferred
- 5Must be able to comply with rotating shift schedules including evenings and weekends
