Night Shift Registered Nurse ICU Travel Position
Overview
Seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a night shift setting within a hospital environment. The ideal candidate will work with advanced medical equipment and manage critically ill patients with diverse conditions. What You'll Do11
- 1Build and maintain patient care plans using NxStage CRRT and Alaris IV pumps
- 2Design and execute cardiac monitoring protocols for dysrhythmia management
- 3Lead ventilator management and ensure proper oxygenation therapy
- 4Implement continuous glucose monitoring systems for hyperglycemia control
- 5Utilize externalized IV pumps for COVID-19 positive patients
- 6Ship and troubleshoot GE cardiac monitors and ventilators
- 7Drive optimization of IV start procedures and telemetry monitoring
- 8Develop skilled approaches to continuous IV sedation techniques
- 9Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
- 10Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care
- 11Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR system
Requirements11
- 1Active Ohio or compact RN license held at time of application
- 2Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience
- 3Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- 4Competency with ventilator management and cardiac monitoring
- 5Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- 6Two professional references including one manager/director
- 7No coworker references accepted
- 8Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- 9NIHSS certification preferred
- 10Ability to work every other weekend without on-call responsibilities
- 11Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
