Overview
The Neuroscience Therapeutic Sales Specialist will own a defined Indianapolis territory and drive adoption of an innovative mental health therapy at certified treatment centers. You will engage psychiatrists, healthcare providers, and integrated care systems with a clinically driven, consultative approach. This role sits at the intersection of clinical education, account management, and patient access to help shape a new treatment ecosystem in mental health. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure regulatory and patient access alignment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of the therapy
- 2Develop strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and behavioral health systems
- 3Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant, and compelling product education to healthcare providers
- 4Identify appropriate patients and support clinicians in patient selection and referral pathways
- 5Collaborate with treatment sites on onboarding, readiness, and optimization of delivery workflows
- 6Navigate site-of-care dynamics including scheduling, patient flow, and operational considerations
- 7Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations to ensure coordinated execution
- 8Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and assisting providers with access challenges
- 9Gather actionable field insights to inform brand strategy and patient journey optimization
- 10Manage territory business planning, call planning, and performance tracking
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree required
- 25–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience in specialty or complex therapeutic areas
- 3Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets preferred
- 4Knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefit reimbursement and payer processes preferred
- 5Experience launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments preferred
- 6Experience with specialty treatment centers, IDNs, academic medical centers, or complex site-of-care models preferred
- 7Strong clinical acumen and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly
- 8Proven track record of building trust-based relationships with providers
- 9Experience supporting therapies requiring site certification or coordinated care delivery models is desirable
- 10Highly collaborative with strong cross-functional teamwork and organizational skills
Salary Insight
$165 - $195k per year
