Executive Neuroscience Sales Specialist, San Jose & Neuroscience Field Sales
Overview
Owns a high-impact territory within neuroscience and rare disease markets and drives revenue through strategic HCP engagement. Partners with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant product education and access solutions at scale. The role blends clinical knowledge, payer understanding, and field execution to differentiate Acadia in competitive markets. This position offers growth within a national sales organization and exposure to leadership development opportunities.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build relationships with HCPs through in-person and virtual visits to drive disease-state education and reimbursement discussions
- 2Develop and execute a territory business plan to meet or exceed sales objectives using data and quarterly action plans
- 3Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and healthcare stakeholders
- 4Address questions and objections with advanced dialogue and selling skills to advance access
- 5Tailor sales aids and resources to customer needs while maintaining regulatory compliance
- 6Partner with managed markets, operations, training, and marketing to deliver coordinated access solutions
- 7Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and distribution channels as access liaison
- 8Accurately track and report sales activities, expenses, and outcomes in a timely manner
- 9Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, and trainings and participate in meetings as required
- 10Mentor new specialists and contribute to cross-functional projects and field insights
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree required with life sciences preferred
- 2Sales experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare; neuroscience exposure preferred
- 3Minimum 1-2 years for Sales Specialist; 5+ years for Senior Specialist; 12+ years for Executive Specialist in healthcare sales with complex/account-based selling
- 4Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills and ability to work independently
- 5Ability to travel up to 80% including overnight stays and air travel
- 6Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and territory residency within 30 miles of the zone
- 7Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms (Zoom, WebEx)
- 8Knowledge of payer dynamics including Part D and specialty hub distribution
- 9Must comply with vaccination requirements for HCP access and medical conferences
- 10Willingness to travel to Hawaii and participate in after-hours activities as needed
