Neuroscience Therapeutic Sales Specialist, Psychiatry & CNS
Overview
The Therapeutic Sales Specialist drives adoption of a novel mental health therapy at certified treatment centers within a defined territory. You will engage psychiatrists and healthcare providers in a highly consultative, clinically driven manner. This field-based role sits at the intersection of clinical education, account management, and patient access, shaping a new treatment ecosystem in mental health. You will operate from Los Angeles with up to 70% travel, reporting to the Regional Sales Director.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build territory-level plans to support launch and uptake of the therapy
- 2Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and behavioral health systems
- 3Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant disease-state education to providers
- 4Identify appropriate patients and guide providers on selection and referral pathways
- 5Collaborate with certified treatment sites to onboard, ready, and optimize delivery workflows
- 6Navigate site-of-care dynamics including scheduling and patient flow
- 7Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations for coordinated execution
- 8Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and addressing access challenges
- 9Gather field insights to inform brand strategy and patient journey optimization
- 10Manage territory business planning, call planning, and performance tracking
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree required with 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience
- 2Experience in Psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets is preferred
- 3Experience with site-of-care dynamics, prior authorization, and payer processes is preferred
- 4Demonstrated success launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments
- 5Experience working with specialty treatment centers, IDNs, or academic medical centers is preferred
- 6Strong clinical acumen and ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly
- 7Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with healthcare providers
- 8Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teamwork skills
- 9Strong business acumen, territory management, and organizational skills
- 10Willingness to travel up to 70% as needed

$165 - $195k per year
