What You'll Do12
- 1Rooms patients and adheres to rooming guidelines while taking vitals and documenting in the EMR
- 2Performs basic tests and procedures using equipment like spirometry and nebulizers
- 3Administers pediatric vaccines and maintains accurate patient records in the EMR
- 4Documents patient information in the EMR and follows established policies and procedures
- 5Supports providers in Value Based Care initiatives and manages clinical inboxes
- 6Cross-trained to work in other departments and locations covering nurse/MA visits
- 7Leads Patient/Provider Office Station for compliance and inventory management
- 8Participates in clinical projects and supports care coordination including referrals
- 9Identifies workflow improvements and shares recommendations with leadership
- 10Supports EMR documentation and relays provider instructions to patients
- 11Communicates with Care Team to maintain efficient clinic flow
- 12Serves as a preceptor for onboarding and training new MAs
Requirements8
- 1Completion of accredited medical Assistant program
- 2Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA RMA CCMA or equivalent)
- 3Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification
- 4Minimum one year experience in a healthcare setting
- 5Proficiency in phlebotomy quality metrics VBC and precepting
- 6Preferred experience with Athena EMR
