What You'll Do11
- 1Perform rooming and intake processes while collecting vital signs height weight and visit data
- 2Gather patient and family information including medical and social history
- 3Review medication lists allergies and preferred pharmacies
- 4Assist providers during treatments examinations and procedures
- 5Collect specimens and conduct phlebotomy
- 6Administer medications under provider direction
- 7Conduct tests such as EKG and eye exams under provider supervision
- 8Determine routine health screenings needed by reviewing patient records
- 9Ensure examination rooms contain necessary supplies equipment and educational materials
- 10Provide post-visit instructions and educational materials to patients
- 11Maintain clean and organized exam and treatment spaces
Requirements5
- 1Certification as a Medical Assistant II from AAMA AMT CCMA NRCMA or NRCMA
- 2Basic Life Support certification from AHA or ARC
- 3At least one year of full-time medical assisting experience
- 4Proficiency with electronic medical records
- 5Strong communication and teamwork abilities
