What You'll Do11
- 1Assist junior assistants with daily tasks and onboarding training
- 2Guide patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment
- 3Collect vital signs weight and height and document in records
- 4Explain treatments medications and physician instructions to patients
- 5Handle phone calls take dictation and complete insurance forms
- 6Maintain immunization inventory and verify expiration dates
- 7Administer immunizations when certified or with provider supervision
- 8Improve departmental quality initiatives such as patient identifiers and hand hygiene
- 9Participate in quality improvement projects
- 10Ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- 11Take vital signs and collect blood samples
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Associate's Degree preferred
- 3Basic Life Support certification
- 4Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- 51-2 years direct medical assistant experience
- 6EMT experience encouraged
- 7Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
- 8Ability to prioritize tasks in busy settings
- 9Attention to detail and accuracy
- 10Compliance with confidentiality regulations
