The Medical Assistant II will lead patient care services at Beth Israel Lahey Health. This role reports to the Practice Manager and focuses on delivering exceptional patient experiences while supporting practice efficiency. What You'll Do11
- 1Serve as a mentor to other assistants and students while maintaining high standards of care
- 2Identify innovative ways to enhance resource utilization across departments
- 3Conduct comprehensive OSHA audits and maintain point-of-care testing protocols
- 4Lead quality improvement initiatives that directly impact patient satisfaction
- 5Perform advanced clinical tasks including EKGs injections and phlebotomy
- 6Manage patient flow by coordinating appointments and ensuring equipment availability
- 7Document vital signs and administer treatments according to clinical guidelines
- 8Collaborate with physicians to develop efficient workflow solutions
- 9Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with documentation standards
- 10Assist in procurement and organization of patient information systems
- 11Implement quality control measures for laboratory specimens and imaging
Requirements11
- 1High School diploma or GED with current Medical Assistant certification
- 21-3 years of clinical experience in primary care settings
- 3Proficiency with electronic health records and document management systems
- 4Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology fundamentals
- 5Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks regularly
- 6Certification in CPR and basic life support
- 7Experience with laboratory equipment and specimen handling
- 8Familiarity with patient communication techniques and conflict resolution
- 9Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- 10Demonstrated leadership potential in collaborative environments
- 11Valid immunization records including flu vaccination
