What You'll Do9
- 1Interview patients to gather medical information and measure vital signs weight height
- 2Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for healthcare providers
- 3Record medical histories vital statistics and test results in electronic health records
- 4Act as liaison between patients and departments advocating for positive experiences
- 5Collect blood tissue and other specimens log them and prepare for testing
- 6Prepare treatment rooms keep them clean and restock supplies
- 7Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated materials
- 8Own patient intake processes and implement workflow improvements
- 9Drive patient satisfaction initiatives through attentive communication and problem solving
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent or Associate degree with medical assisting experience
- 2Basic Life Support certification preferred
- 31-2 years of direct medical assistant experience acceptable in lieu of degree
- 4Strong interpersonal communication and ability to prioritize tasks in busy settings
- 5Accuracy attention to detail and compliance with privacy regulations
- 6Proficiency with EHR systems and medical office software
- 7Knowledge of medical terminology procedures and protocols
- 8Ability to lift 35lbs+ with assistance and carry 20-35lbs
- 9Frequent standing walking and sitting periods
- 10Experience with specimen handling and sample preparation
