Lead end to end mechanical design for power generation and distribution equipment at scale in modular data centers and microgrid markets. Collaborate with cross functional teams and clients from concept through manufacturing and support. This role blends hands on design, qualification, and ongoing product improvement in a fast growing area.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build detailed mechanical designs with SolidWorks and AutoCAD including 3D models, 2D drawings, schematics, FEA, calculations, and test documentation
  • 2Own assembly drawings, BOMs, and design change documentation to support manufacturing and product lifecycle management
  • 3Lead mechanical design efforts on assigned projects with ownership of quality, timelines, and deliverables while coordinating with engineers and designers
  • 4Review and approve mechanical designs and libraries to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with engineering standards
  • 5Identify mechanical and technical risks early and communicate mitigation strategies to engineering leadership
  • 6Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, and production engineering to optimize for manufacturability, assembly, and serviceability
  • 7Support onsite customer technical needs including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of mechanical issues in the field
  • 8Select components with consideration of cost, availability, lifecycle, and obsolescence to ensure long term product supportability
  • 9Track design related costs, monitor budget adherence, and report status and variances to engineering and project management teams
  • 10Contribute to new product development initiatives in power generation, power distribution, data center, and microgrid applications to expand product lines

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2At least 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • 3At least 5+ years of experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drafting
  • 4Hands on experience with AutoCAD for mechanical design and documentation
  • 5Proven expertise in new product development and mechanical design for power generation and power distribution equipment
  • 6Experience working with systems related to power distribution, data centers, microgrids, or similar applications
  • 7Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including stress analysis calculations and engineering standards
  • 8Demonstrated ability to create and manage assembly drawings, BOMs, and design change documentation
  • 9Experience coordinating with manufacturing and production engineering to ensure design for manufacturing and efficient production
  • 10Experience supporting client facing technical activities including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
