Mechanical Product Design Engineer
Overview
We seek a Mechanical Product Design Engineer to design power distribution and power protection equipment. This role involves product development mechanical design prototype testing and cross-functional collaboration. The candidate will contribute to new product development and improvements while meeting quality safety and customer requirements.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and develop mechanical components for power protection and distribution equipment
- 2Create and maintain engineering documentation models and drawings
- 3Collaborate with engineering production supply chain and service departments
- 4Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback
- 5Design release and evaluate mechanical prototypes
- 6Lead small engineering projects from concept through implementation
- 7Support Engineering Change Notices and product lifecycle management
- 8Work with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production and reliability
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2Minimum 2 years of relevant mechanical design or product development experience
- 3Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- 4Ability to work independently within a collaborative team
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 6Experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling
- 7Knowledge of PLM software
- 8Familiarity with power distribution units and UL/IEC standards
- 9Understanding of Switchboards and Control Panels
- 10Technical writing experience
