What You'll Do10

  • 1Build mechanical and electro mechanical subsystems for industrial mobile cleaning robots and integrate with control systems
  • 2Design and analyze components using SolidWorks to meet performance and cost objectives and create detailed drawings
  • 3Lead or support new product development projects delivering manufacturable designs within project milestones
  • 4Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T to ensure fit and function of assemblies
  • 5Conduct FMEA to identify risks and mitigate mechanical and electro mechanical design issues
  • 6Validate designs using data based decision making and statistical analysis to support design validation
  • 7Develop and maintain engineering standards and design guidelines for mechanical systems
  • 8Prepare technical documentation including specifications and design justifications for internal and external partners
  • 9Present design concepts and project updates to stakeholders and partners
  • 10Read and interpret technical journals and reports to inform compliant design decisions

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 2Four to eight years of mechanical design engineering experience
  • 3SolidWorks proficiency with hands on experience in industrial or commercial applications
  • 4Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis for precise interfaces
  • 5Experience performing and documenting FMEA for mechanical and electro mechanical systems
  • 6Strong analytical skills to model and predict system performance
  • 7Experience with cross functional collaboration including electrical and software engineers
  • 8Experience leading or contributing to cross functional engineering projects
  • 9Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
  • 10Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
