Mechanical Engineer III at Array Technologies

Owns design of components and sub-systems to reduce cost and increase reliability at scale. Collaborates with multiple departments to drive selection of state-of-the-art technologies. Utilizes CAD, FEA, DFMA, and DFMEA to shape product development and manufacturability. What You'll Do10
- 1Design and own components and sub-systems to meet cost and reliability targets
- 2Lead design exploration for cost reduction and quality improvements
- 3Provide direction to cross-functional teams to meet program targets
- 4Manage scope definition and change control including cost estimates
- 5Create DRDs from MRDs and develop test plans to validate designs
- 6Lead RCA efforts on components and sub-systems
- 7Develop concepts in SolidWorks and evaluate with DFMA FMEA and FEA
- 8Oversee testing and validation to confirm safety and performance
- 9Drive designs from concept through production and field support
- 10Coordinate schedules and communicate development progress across teams
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 27+ years of experience developing mechanical components and systems
- 35+ years experience using FEA DFMA and design for cost
- 45+ years of experience using 3D CAD software
- 52+ years in Stage Gate Product Development Processes
