Overview
ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, seeks a skilled Mechanic Tech to join our high production shop. You will support daily operations by performing diagnostic repairs and maintenance on diverse vehicle systems. This role offers opportunities for growth within a dynamic service industry environment.
What You'll Do18
- 1Perform A/C heating and refrigeration system flush and charging using Freon
- 2Run OEM performance tests and verify component functionality
- 3Diagnose and repair brake systems including cylinder and caliper replacement
- 4Conduct comprehensive electrical system diagnostics and troubleshooting
- 5Analyze clutch failures and perform necessary repairs
- 6Check cooling system integrity and address leaks or component damage
- 7Inspect starting and cranking systems to identify root causes
- 8Evaluate and repair lighting system configurations and electrical accessories
- 9Service drive axles through housing inspections and major repairs
- 10Lubricate and maintain transmissions and driveline components
- 11Perform detailed fuel system diagnostics and component repairs
- 12Execute electrical system diagnostics using continuity and voltage testing
- 13Complete preventative maintenance including fault code identification
- 14Repair steering and alignment systems through gear box servicing
- 15Maintain suspension-chassis components and address chassis-related issues
- 16Handle tire and wheel maintenance including TPMS programming
- 17Track vehicle information and assist with shop organization tasks
- 18Provide courteous service to internal and external customers
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED preferred with 3-5 years automotive repair experience
- 2ASEB certification preferred but not mandatory
- 3Proficiency in brake tire and wheel systems along with A/C battery charging
- 4Ability to stand walk lift and engage in repetitive motions
- 5Strong verbal communication and teamwork capabilities
- 6Valid driver’s license meeting operational requirements
- 7Consistent attendance and punctuality
- 8Physical stamina for light to medium exertion tasks
- 9Basic computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills
- 10Willingness to work in fast-paced service environment
