
Master Data Governance Manager, Retail & MDM
Overview
Own the master data governance strategy for a major retailer, managing critical data assets across the organization. You will lead a team of data stewards and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to enforce data standards and policies. This role offers the chance to drive data quality initiatives that directly impact business operations and decision-making. What You'll Do7
- 1Develop and implement master data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the enterprise.
- 2Lead cross-functional teams to define and enforce data standards for products, customers, suppliers, and other critical domains.
- 3Drive data quality improvement initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment using SAP MDG and Informatica.
- 4Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure data governance effectiveness and report progress to executive leadership.
- 5Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to integrate governance controls into data pipelines and cloud platforms.
- 6Facilitate data governance council meetings and champion data stewardship best practices across the organization.
- 7Continuously assess and refine data governance policies to align with evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
- 3Hands-on experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or SAP MDG.
- 4Proven track record in implementing data governance frameworks in retail or e-commerce environments.
- 5Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR and CCPA.
- 6Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- 7Authorization to work in the US; H1B Visa transfer is acceptable.
