
Data Governance Lead, Asset Management & Data Quality
Overview
You will lead data governance and data management across the enterprise at an asset and wealth management firm. You will own the full data lifecycle, establishing standards, policies, and controls that ensure data quality, consistency, and accountability. You will drive process analysis and redesign, eliminating inefficiencies in data workflows to support scalable, governed operations. This onsite contract role in Malvern, PA directly impacts data integrity for investment decisions and client reporting. You will collaborate with business and IT teams to embed governance into daily practices, turning policy into operational reality.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design a data governance framework that defines roles, ownership, and accountability for critical data assets across the enterprise
- 2Drive process analysis and redesign efforts, identifying inefficiencies in existing data workflows and re-architecting them for scalable governance
- 3Implement data quality controls and metrics to monitor the health of data across investment, risk, and client reporting systems
- 4Own the end-to-end data management lifecycle, from onboarding new data sources to retirement, ensuring alignment with governance policies
- 5Partner with business and IT stakeholders to enforce data standards, data lineage, and metadata management practices
- 6Lead data issue resolution, establishing root cause analysis and remediation procedures to prevent recurrence
- 7Deliver a governed data operating model within the first 90 days, complete with a data catalog and access controls
Requirements9
- 15+ years in data governance, data management, or data stewardship within asset or wealth management
- 23+ years leading enterprise-wide data initiatives, including policy creation and data standards adoption
- 3Proven track record with data quality tools such as Informatica or Collibra
- 4Strong knowledge of data lineage and metadata management concepts and tools
- 5Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
- 6Experience with SQL for data profiling and validation
- 7Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
- 8Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to translate technical concepts to business audiences
- 9W2 contract eligibility required
