Overview

You will own data governance assessments for a global banking client, evaluating frameworks and controls across the full data lifecycle. Working within the Risk Consulting practice, you will support regulatory and compliance initiatives while identifying risks in data quality. You will collaborate with senior consultants and client stakeholders to deliver actionable insights. What You'll Do7

  • 1Assess data governance frameworks and identify gaps in policies, standards, and procedures.
  • 2Evaluate data quality metrics and control effectiveness across systems including SQL and Excel.
  • 3Support regulatory compliance initiatives such as GDPR and CCAR by mapping data flows and controls.
  • 4Identify and document risks across the data lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal.
  • 5Drive remediation plans with business and technology teams to close control gaps.
  • 6Deliver executive-level reports on data governance maturity and compliance posture.
  • 7Collaborate with auditors and regulators during exams and reviews.

Requirements6

  • 15+ years in data governance, compliance, or risk management, preferably in banking.
  • 23+ years hands-on with data analysis using SQL and Excel.
  • 3Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCAR, or BCBS 239.
  • 4Experience with data governance tools like Collibra or Informatica.
  • 5Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical controls.
  • 6Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
