Maintenance Technician, Hotel Operations & Safety
Overview
Own daily upkeep of guest rooms, common areas, and equipment at a Residence Inn. Scale includes building systems, guest safety, and preventative maintenance programs. Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk in a service-driven environment. This role is designed for hands-on problem solving in a hotel setting with growth opportunities within an expanding management group.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and manage preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, areas, and facilities to meet brand and safety guidelines
- 2Repair minor mechanical, electrical, HVAC, PTAC, plumbing, drywall, paint, and appliance issues with a focus on minimizing guest disruption
- 3Coordinate inspections and documentation for fire safety and elevator systems to ensure compliance
- 4Handle guest room repair requests promptly with high customer service standards
- 5Maintain logs, forms, and paperwork required by company, brand, and local authorities
- 6Conduct daily property tours to identify repairs, safety concerns, and lighting issues
- 7Inventory management and purchasing aligned with forecast and budget
- 8Oversee outside contractors and bids to ensure quality, delivery, and warranty coverage
- 9Monitor vendor performance and ensure safe operation and timely maintenance
Requirements5
- 1Must have experience in hotel, apartment, or similar environment
- 2Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- 3Ability to learn brand operating system and use Quore
- 4Must own a smartphone and flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- 5Ability to stand 8 hours, lift up to 75 pounds, and work under pressure
