Maintenance Technician, Hospitality & Building Systems
Overview
Owns hands-on maintenance across a hotel property serving guests and team members on a daily basis. Manages quick fixes from plumbing to door hardware and collaborates with the Maintenance Manager to uphold guest comfort at scale. This role blends practical handyman skills with hospitality mindset to protect and improve property operations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and execute guest room repairs to resolve issues quickly and professionally ensuring a great stay
- 2Own drywall, painting, basic carpentry, and furniture touch-ups in designated areas
- 3Monitor equipment daily to identify potential failures before impacting service
- 4Perform HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical tasks to maintain room and common area functioning
- 5Conduct preventative maintenance walk-throughs as part of the hotel PM program and address minor issues proactively
- 6Respond to guest and maintenance requests with urgency and clear communication
- 7Support weekend coverage and PM shift responsibilities
- 8Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to document issues and track resolutions
- 9Assist with general housekeeping and facilities tasks as needed
- 10Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance workspace
Requirements5
- 12+ years of experience in general building maintenance or a related trade
- 2Practical working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair tools
- 3Flexible availability for all shifts including evenings and weekends
- 4Friendly attitude, good time management, and high reliability
- 5Ability to stand, bend, and lift moderate loads and work in hotel environments
