You own preventative maintenance across a full-service hotel property, covering guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house systems. You report directly to the Operations Manager and General Manager, maintaining a current inventory of parts and materials. You handle HVAC repairs, appliance fixes, pool and spa upkeep, and grounds maintenance. This role stands out for its breadth: you touch everything from smoke alarms to key control, with a clear path to become a key player in hotel operations.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Complete preventative maintenance checklists on guest rooms, public areas, and back of house as scheduled, reporting completed work to the Operations Manager or General Manager.
  • 2Prioritize and complete work orders, logging them in the maintenance log and communicating completion to the requesting party.
  • 3Repair HVAC systems and clean coils semi-annually or as needed; repair appliances as directed.
  • 4Inspect stairways, fences, signage, and lighting for safety hazards and upkeep needs, repairing as required.
  • 5Flip mattresses in suites as directed, and monitor guest room key inventory, administering the key control program for all locks and keys.
  • 6Manage pool and spa maintenance, including chemical balance and cleaning, and perform lawn and grounds upkeep.
  • 7Check smoke alarms in guest rooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, and back of house on a regular schedule.
  • 8Respond to guest recovery incidents using the L.E.A.R.N model, accommodating special requests and answering questions about property services.
  • 9Report out-of-the-ordinary situations in guest rooms, such as unreported pets or unoccupied suites, to a supervisor immediately.
  • 10Bring all lost and found items to the supervisor's office for logging and storage.

Requirements8

  • 11-2 years of maintenance experience in a hotel or similar facility preferred.
  • 2Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • 3Physical stamina for frequent bending, lifting, carrying, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and kneeling, with prolonged standing or walking.
  • 4Knowledge of basic HVAC repair and appliance troubleshooting.
  • 5Familiarity with pool and spa chemical maintenance procedures.
  • 6Ability to follow safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
  • 7Strong communication skills to interact with guests and report to management.
  • 8Willingness to be trained on all maintenance functions within safety guidelines.
