Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer at Nara Hotels, Inc., you will own the preventative and repair maintenance for the property, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety. You will handle a wide range of tasks from drywall and electrical to plumbing and HVAC, covering every system in the hotel. Work alongside a dedicated team and coordinate with housekeeping and front desk to minimize guest disruption. Your work directly impacts the guest experience and sustainability standards.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Inspect 10-15 rooms daily to identify and document repair needs.
  • 2Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings, and paint designated areas.
  • 3Replace and repair electrical fixtures, including light switches, receptacles, and light bulbs.
  • 4Repair and refinish furniture, and install or program televisions for guest rooms.
  • 5Troubleshoot and fix plumbing issues, including tracing and repairing water lines and performing minor plumbing functions.
  • 6Maintain heating and cooling pumps, performing preventative maintenance on units and replacing as needed.
  • 7Diagnose and repair kitchen equipment to keep food service operational.
  • 8Update repair records and ensure all work meets local, state, and Federal codes.
  • 9Assist as a bell attendant during peak hours to support guest flow.
  • 10Follow Service Recovery guidelines and MSDS/OSHA standards for safety.

Requirements6

  • 1High school diploma or Trade school coursework in a related field.
  • 21+ years of maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel or similar environment.
  • 3Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting techniques.
  • 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions: standing, walking, pushing, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and climbing.
  • 5Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts.
  • 6Strong customer service skills to interact warmly with guests.
