Maintenance Supervisor, Hotel Facilities & Safety
Overview
Own the hotel’s maintenance operations ensuring safety, cleanliness, and readiness for guests at scale. Lead preventative maintenance, life safety systems, vendor coordination, and daily department workflow. Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk to deliver guest-ready rooms and facilities. This role blends hands-on technical work with team leadership and incident response to uphold Marriott standards of quality.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and supervise daily maintenance operations and on call coverage 24 hours a day
- 2Respond to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues professionally to maintain guest satisfaction
- 3Conduct routine inspections of rooms and facilities to identify maintenance needs
- 4Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service vendors
- 5Maintain fire life safety systems and assist with inspections and documentation
- 6Oversee budgeting purchasing and inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- 7Support hotel renovation and capital improvement projects
- 8Participate in emergency response procedures and act as primary contact for after hours maintenance emergencies
- 9Maintain swimming pool and spa equipment per health department standards
- 10Train and mentor maintenance staff and collaborate with other departments
Requirements10
- 1Minimum of 3 years of hotel maintenance experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
- 2Strong working knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical carpentry drywall repair painting and general building maintenance
- 3Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- 4Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
- 5Excellent organizational and communication skills
- 6Basic computer skills and ability to maintain maintenance records electronically
- 7Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends holidays and on call shifts
- 8Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass background check
- 9EPA Certification for refrigerant handling (preferred)
- 10Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (preferred)
