Maintenance Mechanics - American Fruits & Flavors
Overview
We are seeking Maintenance Mechanics to join our rapidly growing team in Los Angeles. This role involves maintaining all buildings structures and production equipment while training others when possible. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in at least one maintenance craft such as welding electrical or PLC systems. This position offers a competitive benefits package and includes three shifts. What You'll Do11
- 1Plan and execute full maintenance tasks independently with minimal supervision
- 2Perform physical tasks using tools like saws drills and power equipment
- 3Lead installations of new equipment and maintain production areas
- 4Conduct daily boiler checks and hourly boiler inspections
- 5Order supplies materials and equipment as needed
- 6Submit work orders for repairs and oversee daily time sheets
- 7Enforce departmental policies and lead by example
- 8Respond to emergencies and assist during disasters
- 9Maintain steam system components such as traps valves and filters
- 10Own and provide personal hand tools listed in the Maintenance Department Tool List
- 11Drive operational efficiency through proactive improvements
Requirements9
- 1Skilled working knowledge of maintenance crafts with expertise in welding electrical or PLC systems
- 2Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- 3Valid Class C California driver's license and auto liability insurance
- 4Ability to read write and speak English for administrative duties
- 5Basic math skills
- 6Own hand tools as specified in the Maintenance Department Tool List
- 7Steam Engineer Boiler License preferred but not required
- 8Experience with all maintenance crafts and trades
- 9Commitment to safety and quality standards
