Lead Operating Engineer, HVAC & Facilities Maintenance
Overview

What You'll Do10
- 1Direct maintenance service requests, ensuring completion with minimal disruption to building operations.
- 2Supervise and implement preventative maintenance programs with strategic scheduling to minimize interruptions.
- 3Order parts and equipment for repairs, maintenance, and new installations while maintaining inventory levels.
- 4Provide hands-on training to staff on tool usage, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- 5Manage the departmental budget, controlling and utilizing resources effectively.
- 6Recommend and estimate facilities repairs and improvements for annual budgets.
- 7Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, reporting conditions affecting client occupancy.
- 8Maintain compliance with safety procedures and hazardous materials handling policies.
- 9Respond to emergencies and develop emergency response protocols.
- 10Recognize potential safety hazards and implement elimination methods.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance and supervision.
- 2Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
- 3Experience with HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems.
- 4Strong oral and written communication skills.
- 5Proficiency with basic computer applications including MS Office and email platforms.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 7Ability to travel between multiple sites and manage remote teams.
- 8High school diploma required.
