Overview

Internal Medicine physician role providing outpatient care at Nellis Air Force Base, serving active duty and veterans in a military medical setting. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and deliver full spectrum Internal Medicine care in outpatient settings to support military operations and patient populations
  • 2Design and execute care plans with emphasis on evidence-based outcomes across multiple organ systems
  • 3Lead coordination of patient care with community health agencies and military medical staff
  • 4Ship and manage telehealth and secure message encounters with timely responses and documentation
  • 5Own documentation standards, PIMR, and HEDIS measures, completing records within 72 hours
  • 6Scale clinical operations and participate in committees, educational activities, and resident mentoring
  • 7Drive clinical leadership, supervision of residents, and didactic sessions for medical students and PAs
  • 8Provide instruction, coaching, and training for residents and students, including rotations and lectures
  • 9Collaborate to ensure formulary adherence and pre-approval for non-formulary medications
  • 10Engage in emergency procedures readiness and respond appropriately to emergencies as needed

Requirements10

  • 1Must be a graduate of an accredited medical school and completed an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency or an AOA/AACOM pathway
  • 2Active and unrestricted Nevada medical license
  • 3Active Board Certification in Internal Medicine by ABIM or AOBIM
  • 4Minimum 24 months of recent Internal Medicine practice or training in the last 36 months
  • 5Experience interpreting ECGs and performing CPR, with recent practice within 24 months
  • 6Basic Life Support required and ACLS or ALS certification
  • 7BLS and advanced life support certifications through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • 8Ability to participate in telehealth, secure messaging, and virtual encounters
  • 9Commitment to the Defense Health Agency policies and TRICARE standards
  • 10Desire to support military personnel and veteran care in a high accountability environment
