Overview
Radiology physician leads a full range of imaging services at MOMMC in a dynamic military medical environment. Owns patient-focused diagnostic imaging, collaboration with clinical teams, and instruction of staff. This role supports the military healthcare mission with high standards of care, timely interpretations, and leadership in emergent cases. The position offers onsite responsibilities at Nellis AFB with structured shifts and on-call requirements.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and supervise imaging services across MRI Mammography CT Xray US Fluoroscopy Nuclear Medicine DEXA
- 2Deliver timely, high-quality interpretations and diagnoses for diverse patient populations
- 3Instruct and mentor clinical staff and trainees in imaging protocols and best practices
- 4Coordinate patient care with referring clinicians and military health resources to ensure continuity of care
- 5Lead on-call and emergent imaging coverage during assigned shifts and on-call hours
- 6Ensure compliance with MQSA, ACGME, and applicable government clinical standards
- 7Provide preventive care education and counseling as part of radiology consultations
- 8Oversee quality assurance, protocols, and safe operation of imaging equipment
- 9Drive continuous improvement initiatives in imaging workflow and patient safety
- 10Maintain board-certified status and ongoing professional development
Requirements10
- 1MD or DO from US, Canada, or approved by AMA/ECFMG
- 2ACGME-accredited residency in Radiology
- 3Board certified by the American Board of Radiology
- 4MQSA certification
- 5Nevada medical license or eligible for licensure
- 6BLS certification
- 7Active radiology practice with at least 10 years of diagnostic radiology experience
- 8Current practice of interpretations in MRI Mammography CT X-ray US Fluoroscopy Nuclear Medicine DEXA within the last 2 years
- 9Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearances and pass background checks
- 10On-site availability at MOMMC Nellis AFB with on-call requirements
