What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain electronic health records using Epic and integrate telehealth platforms to improve patient access.
- 2Design and execute treatment protocols including suturing splinting and immobilization techniques for acute injuries.
- 3Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and order interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- 4Diagnose conditions prescribe medication and develop individualized care plans based on patient presentations.
- 5Perform minor surgeries under local anesthesia during scheduled consultations.
- 6Maintain accurate documentation record progress notes and coordinate referrals for specialized care.
- 7Analyze clinical data to identify patterns and inform policy adjustments for inmate health services.
- 8Train support staff on clinical procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements6
- 15+ years experience practicing medicine in any U.S. state or territory.
- 2Board certification as a physician in good standing with the American Board of Internal Medicine or relevant specialty.
- 3Three or more years of correctional healthcare experience preferred.
- 4Valid license and CPR certification meeting American Heart Association standards.
- 5Proficiency with EHR systems and ability to navigate complex medical software.
- 6Strong communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.
