Housekeeping Team Member, Grocery Retail
Overview
You will own store cleanliness and shelf presentation at a Whole Foods Market location in San Francisco, serving thousands of customers weekly. You will join a cross-trained team operating across departments, from stocking to cashiering. You'll collaborate with Store Leadership and Team Leaders to uphold retail standards. This role offers paid training and a path to a raise after 90 days.
What You'll Do8
- 1Stock and front shelves with current products, rotating stock and removing out-of-date items.
- 2Process customer purchases, returns, and credits using POS systems.
- 3Maintain Electronic Shelf Label signage and verify product placement.
- 4Follow Standard Operating Procedures for sanitation and food safety.
- 5Participate in fiscal period and quarter-end inventories.
- 6Communicate inventory and customer issues to Store Leadership.
- 7Answer phones and pages with professional etiquette.
- 8Operate equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and balers (must be 18+).
Requirements10
- 11+ year in retail, restaurant, or hospitality preferred.
- 2Basic computer skills for POS and inventory systems.
- 3Proven ability to follow instructions and procedures exactly.
- 4Skilled in a fast-paced, evolving environment with strong prioritization and multitasking.
- 5Clear written and verbal communication with customers and team members.
- 6Ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business.
- 7Understand and model Whole Foods Market core values and culture.
- 8Physical capability to stand, lift, and move products up to 50 pounds.
- 9Willingness to work all shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- 10Successful completion of 90-day training and probation period.
