Produce Team Member, Whole Foods Market
Overview
You will own the freshness and appeal of the produce floor at a Whole Foods Market store in Los Angeles, serving hundreds of customers daily. You will maintain displays, manage inventory, and support the team in a high-volume retail environment. What You'll Do10
- 1Stock shelves and displays with fresh produce, front-facing items and rotating stock to maintain quality.
- 2Break down deliveries and ensure product is stored and organized according to WFM standards.
- 3Monitor and prevent spoilage, communicating waste to buyers and team leaders.
- 4Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets to ensure compliance.
- 5Assist with periodic inventory checks and maintain accurate counts.
- 6Provide excellent customer service, addressing needs and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
- 7Perform opening, mid, and closing duties, ensuring signage and pricing accuracy.
- 8Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, following health and safety protocols.
- 9Use tools like knives, box cutters, and electric pallet jacks safely.
- 10Report safety hazards and violations immediately to leadership.
Requirements8
- 1No prior retail experience required.
- 2Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for 6-8 hours per shift.
- 3Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 4Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions and procedures.
- 5Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

- 7Ability to work in wet and dry conditions and exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
