Overview

Own environmental, health, and safety (EHS) for a mission-critical data center construction site in Fairless Hills, PA. As the owner's representative, you are the on-the-ground 'eyes and ears,' coaching craft and supervision to build safety ownership—a Safety Coach, not a Safety Cop. You lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). This 12-month 1099 contract pays $50–$52/hour plus a $500 weekly housing allowance if you reside over 75 miles away. You drive incident investigations and corrective actions, maintaining an EHS management system aligned to ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Serve as the owner's representative and the on-the-ground 'eyes and ears' for a mission-critical construction site, coaching craft and supervision to build safety ownership.
  • 2Lead hazard identification and risk assessments, reviewing safe work method statements and JSAs to ensure high-voltage work practices comply with NFPA 70E and effective Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • 3Conduct incident investigations and post-event root cause analyses, driving corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • 4Maintain EHS management system elements aligned to ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 and regional regulations, updating documentation and tracking metrics.
  • 5Produce clear daily documentation and weekly timesheets using digital tools, issuing concise reports to the Owner/Client and the General Contractor.
  • 6Be onsite Monday–Friday for 8-hour shifts, with no weekend work anticipated, ensuring consistent presence for safety oversight.

Requirements8

  • 17+ years in data center construction safety, with mission-critical experience required.
  • 2Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety preferred; alternatively, 10+ years of construction safety experience without a degree and/or data center background.

  • 4OSHA 500/510 required; BCSP CHST preferred.
  • 5Fluency in the local language and strong proficiency in English.
  • 6In-depth understanding of regional H&S regulations and competency with ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 systems.
  • 7Proven strength in risk assessment, method statements, and post-incident root cause analysis.
  • 8Exceptional written and verbal communication with Owners/Clients and General Contractors.
