You will own field safety oversight on an active construction project in Wilmington, DE, covering OSHA compliance and high-risk operations. You will lead orientations and toolbox talks, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions. What You'll Do8

  • 1Conduct daily field safety inspections on an active construction site, identifying unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • 2Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and Safe Work Plans (SWPs) to ensure alignment with standards.
  • 3Monitor high-risk work including fall protection, confined space, excavation, crane activities, and electrical tasks.
  • 4Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and pre-task meetings for project teams.
  • 5Investigate incidents and near misses, issuing timely corrective actions and documenting findings.
  • 6Partner with project managers and contractors to embed a strong safety culture across the site.
  • 7Verify compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and HazTek company standards.
  • 8Serve as the primary on-site safety resource during second shift operations.

Requirements6

  • 1OSHA 510 certification required.
  • 25+ years of construction safety experience in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or mission-critical environments.
  • 3Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
  • 4Experience supporting high-risk construction activities and permit-to-work programs.
  • 5Excellent communication and leadership skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • 6Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
