Overview

Ensure the safety of employees, trade partners, and the general public across Clark Construction's world-class projects. Own the safety culture on-site, enforce corporate and federal standards, and collaborate with supervisors to develop safe work plans. This role requires a hands-on approach, navigating active job sites and driving a culture of care. No project is successful unless it is built safely, and you will be a key leader in achieving that goal.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Drive the Clark safety culture on a project, enforcing corporate and project-specific safety programs.
  • 2Oversee the safety of employees, trade partners, and the public, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
  • 3Lead the review of specialized safety plans for crane, confined space, and job hazard analysis.
  • 4Partner with subcontractors to ensure timely submission of safety documentation and hazard mitigation plans.
  • 5Identify known or potential exposures and recommend corrective actions to prevent incidents.
  • 6Develop, coordinate, and implement overall project-specific safety programs, including education for jobsite personnel.
  • 7Facilitate third-party safety reviews, including OSHA, and cultivate industry relationships for business opportunities.
  • 8Align the team to a safety vision, ensuring a safe workplace for everyone on the project.

Requirements9

  • 12+ years of relevant construction safety experience with an undergraduate degree in safety and health or related discipline.
  • 2Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners.
  • 3Proof of training and experience managing crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safely.
  • 4Strength in managing multiple competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • 5Agile, energetic, data-driven approach to achieving individual and organizational objectives.
  • 6Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, results oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, innovative, resilient.
  • 7OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
  • 8STSC or GSP certification preferred.
  • 91st Aid/CPR training preferred.
