What You'll Do11
- 1Provide daily hands-on safety oversight for field operations including cold-formed metal framing and drywall hanging
- 2Maintain regular presence in active work areas assessing conditions and employee practices
- 3Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and integrated work plans
- 4Conduct daily safety inspections audits and pre-task plan reviews
- 5Issue and manage task-oriented work permits required by General Contractors
- 6Identify unsafe acts coordinate corrective actions with field supervision
- 7Conduct safety training and employee orientation programs
- 8Participate in toolbox talks subcontractor meetings and safety committee meetings
- 9Coordinate safety badging and substance abuse screening
- 10Assist in verifying PPE fall protection scaffold ladder aerial lift compliance
- 11Support incident investigations and prepare analysis reports
Requirements5
- 1OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety card
- 2Bachelor degree in engineering construction or safety with 1 year safety oversight
- 3Associate degree in engineering construction or safety with 2 years safety oversight
- 4Professional safety certification with 2 years safety oversight
- 5At least 4 years construction industry experience with 2 additional years safety oversight
