Project Safety Manager - Data Center & Energy
Overview
You will own site safety for large-scale data center and energy projects, driving an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) across multi-million-dollar builds. You will report to the Manager of Project Safety and work alongside Project Teams and Production Leadership to enforce OSHA 30 standards. This role stands out because you will shape safety programs from the ground up, conducting audits and investigations that directly reduce risk on high-profile electrical construction sites.
What You'll Do8
- 1Develop and maintain a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan for each assigned project.
- 2Generate weekly Total Case Incident Reports and present findings to project leadership and management.
- 3Lead incident and injury investigations with support from Production Leadership to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- 4Monitor and audit CEI and Subcontractor compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI standards.
- 5Co-facilitate safety trainings and toolbox talks for all employees, emphasizing IIFC principles.
- 6Conduct regular site walkthroughs to identify hazards and enforce safe work practices, including work at heights and confined spaces.
- 7Support the Project Leadership Team in executing weekly safety meetings and addressing site-specific concerns.
- 8Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend improvements to the Safety Department.
Requirements8
- 13-5 years of construction safety experience, with electrical safety experience preferred.
- 2OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
- 3CPR/FA certification required; trainer certification preferred.
- 4Willingness to obtain BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months.
- 5High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field preferred.
- 6Valid state-issued driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
- 7Strong knowledge of NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI standards.
- 8Ability to lift 40 pounds and work in varied environmental conditions.
