Overview
Own site safety and environmental compliance for a large data center campus, acting as the client's representative. AECOM seeks a Senior Construction Safety Professional to review contractor EHS plans, coach trade partners, and drive a culture of safety. You will partner with the construction management team, delivering real-time EHS metrics and leading incident investigations. This role demands 60% field presence and offers the chance to shape safety programs on Hyperscale projects.
What You'll Do10
- 1Monitor the client's EHS culture, advising on OSHA and environmental compliance at the site.
- 2Develop and maintain safety programs and procedures, reducing risk and exposures.
- 3Supervise EHS personnel, guiding them in identifying and preventing workplace hazards.
- 4Review and advise on Contractor Environmental Health and Safety Plans (CEHSP) for conformance.
- 5Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and the resident contract representative.
- 6Deliver accurate EHS performance data to construction management, including Leading and Lagging KPIs.
- 7Represent the client's EHS team in meetings and briefings, including GC all-hands and Safety Committee.
- 8Draft required reports for Federal, State, and local agencies and client stakeholders.
- 9Support environmental programs covering waste, stormwater, spill prevention, and air permits.
- 10Evaluate contractor hazard assessments like RAMS and JHAs, communicating improvement opportunities.
Requirements9
- 16+ years in construction safety, with a BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
- 2Experience in environmental compliance and industry standards.
- 3Valid Driver's License and ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
- 4US citizenship required due to project nature.
- 58+ years of construction safety experience preferred, with data center exposure.
- 6NFPA 70E certification and OSHA 30 training preferred.
- 7Certified Safety Professional or similar certification preferred.
- 8Experience overseeing multiple construction trades.
- 9Strong verbal and written communication with diverse stakeholders.
