Safety Manager, Construction EHS Compliance
Overview
You will own EHS compliance for multi-family, industrial, and commercial projects across the Southeast. Reporting to the regional director, you will coordinate with project teams, field staff, and local agencies to drive a safety-first culture. You will manage training, audits, and incident investigations while implementing OSHA standards. This role offers direct influence on safety outcomes and a clear path to senior leadership.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead EHS compliance for construction sites, ensuring adherence to OSHA, state, and local regulations.
- 2Conduct project safety audits and implement corrective actions to eliminate hazards.
- 3Deliver OSHA 30 training and toolbox talks for site personnel, tailoring content to project risks.
- 4Investigate incidents and near misses, then drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- 5Coordinate with project managers to embed safety into scheduling and subcontractor oversight.
- 6Maintain digital EHS reporting using Procore, Bluebeam, and CMiC.
- 7Serve on the Safety Committee to develop best-practice guides for company-wide adoption.
- 8Partner with local environmental agencies to ensure permit compliance and waste handling.
- 9Champion a culture of safety by coaching field teams and recognizing proactive behaviors.
- 10Monitor regulatory changes and update site programs to remain compliant.
Requirements9
- 13-5+ years of construction safety experience, with a focus on commercial or multifamily projects.
- 2OSHA 30-hour certification required; CHST or CSP preferred.
- 3Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
- 4Proven leadership skills to direct field staff and enforce safety policies.
- 5Strong problem-solving ability to identify hazards and develop practical solutions.
- 6Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and CMiC.
- 7Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and internet-based tools.
- 8Bilingual (Spanish) communication skills preferred.
- 9Ability to travel to project sites across the Atlanta metro area.
