Overview
Dispatcher who communicates with Waste Pro drivers to respond to service orders, schedule services, resolve route issues, and complete daily routing data entry. Responsibilities include distributing information to driver teams and ensuring customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do11
- 1Maintain contact between drivers and home base while balancing cost and speed of response
- 2Assign routes and service tickets to drivers and close tickets daily
- 3Plan, monitor, and follow up on daily route assignments for residential roll-off and commercial drivers
- 4Troubleshoot delivery and pickup problems before they cause service issues
- 5Answer incoming calls from Customer Service and provide route information
- 6Communicate service changes to Sales staff and coordinate with Operations Manager and drivers
- 7Serve as emergency point of contact for drivers with maintenance shop personnel
- 8Review route paperwork, enter customer information, and close previous day work orders
- 9Maintain data in systems like Tower verifying dump tickets and entering crew out information
- 10Print, review, and correct productivity reports for route supervisors daily
- 11Distribute driver phones and radios, completing software updates and charging devices nightly
Requirements12
- 1High school diploma or GED and minimum six months related work experience
- 2Experience in waste industry transportation or logistics preferred
- 3Previous customer service experience in call center environment preferred
- 4Strong telephone and two-way radio skills for internal/external communication
- 5Proficiency in MS Office and typing abilities
- 6Ability to handle pressure and treat others respectfully
- 7Experience resolving problems promptly
- 8Skills in prioritizing and planning work activities
- 9Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 10Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals
- 11Motor coordination and finger dexterity required for keyboarding machine operation driving
