Customer Service Self Storage Manager
Overview
You will own daily operations at multiple self-storage facilities, driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth. You will work independently, balancing indoor and outdoor tasks, and report to a district manager. You will lead a small team of part-time staff, ensuring every unit is ready to rent and every customer leaves with a solution. What You'll Do7
- 1Assess customer storage needs and suggest solutions, including selling packing and moving supplies.
- 2Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready to rent.
- 3Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits to maintain accurate financial records.
- 4Contact customers with past due payments to collect and resolve account issues.
- 5Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and maintaining exterior grounds.
- 6Walk facilities and climb stairs, spending up to 50% of time outdoors in all weather.
- 7Drive between properties using your own vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Requirements6
- 11+ years in customer service sales environments like retail, restaurant, or fast food.
- 2Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel between locations.
- 3Ability to lift and move items up to 35 pounds.
- 4Comfortable working outdoors and climbing stairs as needed.
- 5Basic math skills for cash handling and deposits.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent.
