Assistant Store Manager, Self Storage Operations
Overview
You will own daily operations across multiple self-storage locations in the district, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction at scale. Reporting to the District Manager and Store Manager, you will drive sales through unit rentals and insurance while managing accounts and payments. This role offers daytime hours, Sundays off, and growth potential within Extra Space Storage.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build customer relationships by identifying storage needs and offering tailored solutions.
- 2Maximize sales through unit rentals, insurance, and moving supplies.
- 3Maintain cleanliness standards by sweeping, mopping, and grounds upkeep.
- 4Perform daily safety inspections, including lock checks.
- 5Resolve customer concerns about billing, security, auctions, and site usage.
- 6Handle cash, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, and complete bank deposits.
- 7Protect company culture by fostering professional relationships with all employees.
- 8Complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements6
- 11+ year of customer-facing work experience.
- 2Sales experience preferred.
- 3Current valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
- 4High School diploma or GED required; college education a plus.
- 5Ability to lift items up to 35 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
- 6Comfort with indoor and outdoor duties in varying weather.
