Customer Service Associate, Retail & Cash Handling
Overview
You will own the customer experience at a high-volume Dollar Tree store, handling transactions and maintaining store standards. You will support a team of associates and leaders in a fast-paced retail environment. This role focuses on frontline service and operational consistency. You will keep the store fully stocked and presentable for every shopper.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assist customers with questions and product recommendations at the register and on the sales floor.
- 2Process sales transactions accurately on the assigned cash register while maintaining cash security.
- 3Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and replenish stock according to productivity standards.
- 4Recover merchandise and ensure shelves are organized and fully stocked throughout the shift.
- 5Maintain store cleanliness: sweep and mop floors, clean restrooms, and take out trash.
- 6Follow instructions and interpret operational documents to complete tasks correctly.
- 7Protect company assets by monitoring cash and merchandise and reporting discrepancies.
- 8Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team members.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
- 3Ability to lift 30-50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height.
- 4Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- 5Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
- 6Strong organizational skills for stocking and recovery tasks.
- 7Problem-solving and decision-making skills for customer inquiries.
- 8Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive lifting.
