Overview

You will write and prove CNC programs for mills and lathes, ensuring dimensionally correct machined components in a machine shop environment. You will work with Mastercam for both mills and lathes, collaborating with machinists to produce accurate programs using existing equipment. This role supports Hydraflow's fluid transfer solutions, where precision machining reduces customer installation time and waste. What You'll Do8

  • 1Program CNC mills and lathes using Mastercam, creating efficient and accurate toolpaths for production parts.
  • 2Review incoming job orders and prepare programs per revision, ensuring alignment with current blueprints and specs.
  • 3Collaborate with machinists to refine programs for existing equipment, optimizing cycle times and part quality.
  • 4Prove out new and existing programs on machines, verifying dimensional accuracy and making adjustments as needed.
  • 5Support 5-axis milling operations, programming complex geometries with Mastercam and Okuma controls.
  • 6Interpret GD&T callouts and blueprints to define machining strategies and inspection requirements.
  • 7Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and comparators to validate program output.
  • 8Document programming changes and maintain version control for future reference.

Requirements9

  • 15+ years of CNC programming experience in a machine shop setting.
  • 2Proficiency programming with Mastercam for mills and lathes.
  • 3Hands-on experience with Okuma lathes, HAAS milling machines, and Daewoo/Fanuc controls.
  • 4Ability to program 5th axis milling operations.
  • 5Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
  • 6Working knowledge of basic measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, comparators, and shop math.
  • 7Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision.
  • 8Fluent in English with effective reading, speaking, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • 9Must be a US Person per ITAR definition (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).
