You will write CNC programs for complex aerospace parts on multi-axis machining centers, directly impacting Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. You will join the Manufacturing Engineering team, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, in a hands-on role that requires 5+ years of CNC programming experience. You will own program libraries and revisions, ensuring NADCAP compliance, and collaborate with shop associates to upload and download programs. What You'll Do8

  • 1Write CNC programs that machine complex parts to very close tolerances on multiple axes, including Horizontal Machining Centers with Macro and sub-programming.
  • 2Program 4-axis lathes, 5-axis lathes, Y-axis lathes, and Vertical Machining Centers of various sizes.
  • 3Solve shop floor problems proactively, participating in Kaizen events such as SMDE, VSM, and 5S.
  • 4Maintain the program library and track revision status per NADCAP requirements.
  • 5Assist shop associates in uploading and downloading programs from the control systems.
  • 6Analyze manufacturing data to make informed decisions that improve quality and delivery.
  • 7Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to optimize machining processes for new and existing parts.
  • 8Ensure all programs comply with AS9100 and NADCAP standards, contributing to audit readiness.

Requirements10

  • 15+ years in a manufacturing or industrial technical field, with programming CNC equipment.
  • 2Skilled in G and M code editing, Macro style programming, and multi-axis functions.
  • 3Experience with Fanuc, Okuma, and Mitsubishi CELOS controllers.
  • 4Strong computer skills including CAD/CAM, Esprit, Solid Works, MasterCam, and spreadsheet software.
  • 5Ability to extract and analyze critical data to drive business decisions.
  • 6Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
  • 7Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
  • 8Self-starter who works with little direct supervision.
  • 9Team-oriented with the ability to influence others without authority.
  • 10Must be a U.S. Person as defined by export control laws.
