CNC Programmer, Aerospace Manufacturing
Overview
You will own CNC programming for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills and lathes at a leading aerospace manufacturer. You will take full responsibility for program development and process execution on mission-critical components. You will collaborate with machinists and cross-functional teams to drive quality and throughput. Your work directly supports defense and space programs with high-tolerance, complex geometries. What You'll Do9
- 1Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills and CNC lathes, ensuring quality and delivery standards.
- 2Own the programming and process execution for assigned parts, from setup to final inspection.
- 3Improve manufacturing processes through tooling recommendations, fixture design, and cycle time optimization.
- 4Collaborate with machinists and operators to ensure efficient and accurate production.
- 5Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and maintain high standards on repeat production work.
- 6Ensure all programs meet GD&T standards and quality requirements.
- 7Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance quality and throughput.
- 8Maintain accurate documentation including work instructions and program revisions.
- 9Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of CNC programming experience on mills or lathes.
- 2Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- 3Experience with multi-axis machining (3, 4, or 5-axis).
- 4Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam or NX.
- 5Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- 6Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- 7Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- 8U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
